Summer camps in San Antonio for teens (14–17)

By 14, the right summer program looks more like a short pre-professional residency than a traditional camp. The Hamilton Broadway Experience · Week 1 at the Josephine Theatre (ages 15–18, Jul 27–31) is purpose-built for this age: five days of professional-level instruction with Performance and Production tracks, working with members of the touring production of Hamilton, and a ticket to see the show. Sports academies at this age are similarly serious; many double as college-recruiting showcases.

Don't overlook the academic and college-credit options. Trinity, UTSA, and several private school summer institutes run residential or commuter programs that earn high schoolers college credit before senior year. If your teen is between college decisions, a focused summer program can be the thing that clarifies their path, and a great resume line.
