What is the Hamilton Broadway Experience?

A Hamilton-inspired intensive for older teens that blends real musical-theatre training with genuine insight into professional theatre careers, both onstage and off. Older students choose a Performance track or a Production track, work with members of the touring production of Hamilton, and explore the working life of a Broadway-caliber touring show.

Week 1 is the more serious, industry-facing of the two Hamilton Broadway Experience weeks. Older teens choose one of two tracks for the full five days (Performance or Production) and work alongside members of the touring production of Hamilton. The schedule is designed for students who are seriously considering a career in performance, production, or anywhere across the theatre industry.

Where is Week 1 of the Hamilton Broadway Experience held?
At the Josephine Theatre, 339 W Josephine Street in San Antonio. The whole week runs from one venue: main stage, studios, and breakout rooms.
Who can attend Week 1?
Older teens ages 15–18. The schedule and material are designed for students who want professional-level training, with a strong industry focus.
When does Week 1 run and what does it cost?
Monday July 27 through Friday July 31, 2026, 9 AM to 4 PM each day. Tuition is $495 and includes a ticket to see Hamilton at the Majestic Theatre on July 27.
What's the difference between the Performance and Production tracks?
Performance focuses on vocal technique, acting for musical theatre, choreography, audition skills, and cast-led masterclasses. Production focuses on stage management, set/lighting/sound, directing and creative producing, and a real behind-the-scenes look at a working touring show, supported by the Hamilton touring production team.
Do students see Hamilton live?
Yes. A ticket to Hamilton at the Majestic Theatre on July 27 is included in the registration fee.
Is there an audition or interview to attend?
No formal audition is required. ATG uses a short registration form to learn each student's age and background and groups campers accordingly.

Working theatre professionals from across the performing arts industry, including members of the touring production of Hamilton.
